Not all Touch Has Positive Impact

While most of the postings here talk about the power of touch, not all touch is positive, of course. It can be equally “powerful” and life changing to experience touch as sexual assault.

A New York University researcher has combed through studies to analyze the results of sexual assault touch on lives of those who were victimized and suffered.

Children Need Love to Thrive

I’ve read a couple of interesting articles on how orphanages are horrible places to raise children, because of the lack of love and touch.

For me, it raises the question of what institutionalizing our elderly is doing? And I’m not asking that as a thretorical question, drawing a false parallel between the two. I’m genuinely interested in seeing what studies there are about this topic.

Danny Enright has over 20 years experience in Adult Education and 15 years in supervision and management. Acareability™... a combination of the words "Accountability" and "Care". It's when your friends family and colleagues lovingly hold you to the commitments you made. They have no vested interest in the results; only in your ultimate happiness and flourishing.

Talkwondo™... a "verbal martial arts" strategy that involves doing all you can to reduce friction in dialogue, and like other martial arts, provides ways to respond if the previous level of intervention did not work. Ends with strong verbal words that remain calm, but put you in control of the conversation.

Enriching Psychology™ is a reframing of the study of Positive Psychology, as well as the wisdom of timeless philosophers, ancient mystics and modern sciences. Sometimes our greatest selves evolve when faced with great challenges or strong questions, which enrich us and our circles to move to our next greatest selves.
